These fittings have ends that are too short to be used with electrofusion fittings, so they can only be welded together by means of a heater plate. The heater plate heats the ends of the 2 items that are to be connected, after which the plate is removed and the ends are pressed together. The whole thing takes place in a cradle that secures correct angle and pressure.
