A stop valve operates by stopping the air flow when the tube is disconnected and opening again when the tube is pushed in and reconnected. The 2-way mechanism ensures that this works from both sides. Extremely useful in situations where tubes are often disconnected and reconnected, ie. development and test environments and for demonstrating pneumatic modes of operation. Notice that these valves always come pre-fitted with an O-ring on male BSPP thread.
